The human nature

THE STATE OF NATURE: Is neither a social or a moral condition. It is a condition in which no one has the right to rule over another. There is not justice not injustice and men is solitary and self-sufficient.

SO DEFINITION SHOW TO US THAT ROSSEAU VIEW AS BASIC A NATURAL LIFE WITH OUT WITH OUT INFLUECE OF SOCIETY

THE HUMAN NATURE

The man is naturally good and that it is throughsocial institutions that men became bad.

In the state of nature humans >
Have the characteristic of self-preservertion, self survival and pity
They have not yet developed reason
They havelittle need of others
There is a little interest to associate (only for procreation)
Peace and tranquility lead their lives
They are relatively equals (the inequalities are due to their naturalstrengths).
Free of conflict and competition.

SO THERE IS NOT NCENTIVE TO CHANGE

External factors as climate change, scarcity of food, increased of population alters the harmony between menand nature, in this sense humans need to join with others to achieve what thy want.

It is a process that doesn’t allow men to go back to the natural condition, because the stimulation ofintelligence for the desires lead to create more sophisticated needs.

As humans acquire reason, started to thing about perfection and what obligations and values are needed by it.

In societies humansbecame self – seekengin not because the intrisical need but because they want to recibe the admiration of others.

In Roseau’s theory, evils is not attributed by the original sin, rather when heenter to the society.

ENTER TO THE SOCIETY ISOLATE ENVIROMENT
amor propre (vanity, selfishness, self- love) Amoir de soi (self – love)

This selfishlove is the cause of the all future depravity and fosters mans vanity and need for power.

The impact in the social environment.
