Introduction
KP3 Editor lets you use your computer to store data you’ve saved on the KP3, or to edit the parameters of the KP3. You can also load WAVE format or AIFF format sample files from your computer into the KP3.You can transfer the following data between KP3 Editor and the KP3. KP3 All Data This contains four samples, the program memory set, and the global data. The file name has an extension of «.kpa». Sample Data This is data for one sample. The file name has an extension of «.kps». Program Memory Set This contains data for eight program memories. The file name has an extension of «.kpp». Global DataThis data consists of the Ext.Ctrl parameters and the global parameters. The file name has an extension of «.kpg» Don’t transmit or receive data while sampling on the KP3, while playing back a sample, or while making funcion settings. Don’t operate the KP3 while data is being transmitted or received. If an error message is displayed while data is being transmitted or received, check theconnections between the KP3 and the MIDI driver.

Setup
1. 2. Start up KP3 Editor. From the menu, choose «MIDI» – «Preferences…» (Mac: from the Application menu choose «Preferences…»). A preferences dialog box will appear. In «MIDI Port» make sure that «Auto Detect» is selected. If it is not selected, click the check box to select it. If multipleKP3 units are connected, clear the «Auto Detect» check box, and manually specify the MIDI port to which the KP3 for which you want to make settings is connected. Click [OK] to close the preferences dialog box.
